Strategy and Goals
Our strategy is to lift up relevant, rigorous, and engaging learning and teaching practices, tools and models at the local level with actionable evidence of student learning, in order to:
inform state policy to support and reinforce local innovations of rich, meaningful, and relevant indicators through LCAP and other means across the state, and
inform practitioner leader efforts to scale and systematize competency and outcomes-based innovations in instruction, assessment, professional development and accountability.
We have a three-prong goal to advance equity:
(1) promote authentic assessments
(2) elevate civic learning
(3) combat systemic racism
Support for systems integration of:
(1) performance based assessments
(2) the State Seal of Civic Engagement
(3) ethnic studies.
